Getting Started

Installation

  1. First, either run the file you downloaded, or insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
  2. The installation wizard will start automatically.
  3. The wizard will guide you through the installation process. Once the wizard is complete, launch Homework Guard from the desktop icon!

Setup

  1. On the start screen, click Continue.
  2. Enter in your name, and serial number (found inside the case, or in an email you received)
  3. Click Continue
  4. Enter your desired password (Do not lose this password. Write it down in a safe place.).
  5. Click save. You’re done! Homework guard is ready to use.

Using Homework Guard Basics

Lock All Chat Usage

  1. Double click the orange lock icon in the bottom-right corner in your system tray.
  2. Enter in your password.
  3. Click the LOCK button.
  4. Press “Yes” in the message box (This will Hide Homework Guard back to the tsystem tray).

Unlock All Chat Usage

  1. Double click the orange lock icon in the bottom-right corner in your system tray.
  2. Enter in your password.
  3. Click the UNLOCK button.
  4. Press “Yes” in the message box (This will Hide Homework Guard back to the system tray).

Using Homework Guard Advanced

Timer Controlled Locking / Unlocking

  1. Double click the orange lock icon in the bottom-right corner in your system tray.
  2. Enter in your password.
  3. Click File -> Advanced Lock.
  4. Click Timer Lock.
  5. Click Either Timer Allow, or Timer Lock.
  6. Set desired amount of hours.
  7. Click the LOCK button.
  8. Click the HIDE button to Hide Homework Guard back to the system tray.

Change Password

  1. Double click the orange lock icon in the bottom-right corner in your system tray.
  2. Enter in your password.
  3. Click the SETTINGS button.
  4. Enter in your old password, and desired password.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the HIDE button to hide Homework Guard back to the system tray.

Change Autoload / Warnings

  1. Double click the orange lock icon in the bottom-right corner in your system tray.
  2. Enter in your password.
  3. Click the SETTINGS button.
  4. Change your desired settings.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the HIDE button to Hide Homework Guard back to the system tray.
